Buying a property is one of the biggest investments that you will ever make. You want to be sure that the legal processes are completed correctly and that your interests, (and your money), are protected.
WHAT IS CONVEYANCING?
Conveyancing is the process of buying, selling or otherwise transferring property, usually from the time of entering into a contract to settlement. Appointing a conveyancer or solicitor to undertake this process can alleviate a lot of stress as well as ensuring that your interests are protected.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME?
Residential purchase conveyancing: $999 + GST + outlays
Residential sale conveyancing: $700 + GST + outlays
DO I NEED TO ATTEND AT SETTLEMENT?
If you appoint a conveyancer or solicitor to take care of your conveyancing, you will not need to attend at settlement. We handle the entire process and contact you immediately following settlement to congratulate you on either buying or selling your property.
WHAT IS THE FINANCE CONDITION?
Most contracts include a condition that allows a buyer to make an application to a financial institution for a loan to purchase a property. In the event that a buyer cannot obtain finance, the condition allows for them to terminate the contract with no penalty.
WHAT IS THE BUILDING AND PEST CONDITION?
Like the finance condition, many contracts include a condition that allows the buyer to have a property inspected for building defects or pest infestation. If the buyer is not satisfied with the reports following those inspections, they also have the option to terminate without penalty.
