FAQs

SENIOR LEGAL? DO YOU ONLY ACT FOR SENIORS?

We act for a variety of clients from 18 years of age to 99 years of age, providing the same legal service no matter what their age.

Our firm name is called Senior Legal simply because our principal is Mr Geoff Senior - not because we only service seniors citizens! We welcome clients of all ages.

DO I NEED A LAWYER?

Whilst many people do act for themselves in court proceedings, the process can often involve complex procedures, timely preparation and the need to apply relevant case law and legislation. In order to best protect your rights and promote your best interests, contact us at Senior Legal.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

We understand that this is a very important consideration when choosing a lawyer to represent you. At the earliest possible stage, we will provide you with an estimate of what you legal matter will cost at each stage. Our initial consultation fee of $150 (inclusive of GST) will allow us to discuss your matter with you so that we can understand your position and advise you of the best way forward.

CAN I GET LEGAL AID?

As a preferred supplier for Legal Aid Queensland, we can lodge applications on your behalf for funding assistance in matters of Family Law, Criminal Law and Domestic Violence. Drop into our office today to collect an application form.

APPLICATIONS? AFFIDAVITS? ORDERS?

There are a variety of documents that lawyers need to prepare everyday in order to progress a case. The documents that are submitted to court need to be precise, accurate and drafted in accordance with the law. To ensure that your court documents are correct, call us at Senior Legal.

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE A LAWYER?

We would love to meet with you to discuss your matter. You can telephone us on (07) 5532 8777 or send us an email to reception@seniorlegal.com.au to make an appointment. Just tell us a little bit about your matter when making the appointment and we can then get more detail when we sit down with you.
